All our 17 rooms are fully equipped with shower/WC, hair dryer, colour TV, comprising single, double and family (3-bed) rooms.

For families, child's bed, baby's changing table and cheap two-bed rooms for children are available.

Breakfast is offered in comfortable atmosphere in our breakfast room on the ground floor.

Have you ever heard of the local panier pedlars, the so-called Münsterländer Kiepenkerle ?

One of the last in this region was Christoph Theodor Scheller, 160 years ago, who wandered through the country offering his goods in his panier for sale to the farming people. He traded news from village to village and from town to town and entertained the people in the country with his stories and even made a good marriage broker from time to time.

He used to wear a blue linen coat and wooden shoes. He was never seen without his oaken stick and when plodding over long distances along the hedged farmland, he enjoyed a good pipe every now and then.

Later, he settled down in Hiltrup, opened a grocer's shop, a pub and later even the first guest rooms. His son became a master baker so that the house comprised a bakery, which his grandson later-on transformed into a bakery and cake shop.

Our Hotel Hiltruper Hof with its cosy restaurant and ethnic pub is now looking back to 40 years of history, and it has undergone many changes over the years in response to the changing times and in order to meet the needs of our guests.
